Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with deeper meaning. Maya Angelou via www.BrainyQuote.com
When someone is passionate about something it will always come through in their voice. They may be talking about general topics and their voice remains on an even tone. The moment they start talking about something they’re passionate about, the tone of their voice changes to become more animated; they speak faster, maybe a little louder and with heartfelt emotion.
Finding Your Passion
Content marketing is huge…and content is still king…but not just any content. In order to set yourself apart in the field you write about and talk about, and also to allow your content to have an impact on those who experience it, you must discover where your passion lies. What are you passionate about? What do you enjoy speaking about for hours on end? What is the one thing, or sometimes more than one thing, that make you come alive? What is that thing you’d be willing to do or to write about even if you were not being paid?
Finding Your Voice
Finding your voice is closely tied into finding your passion. Allowing your personality to shine through your content may not come naturally, but is something you can work on, and something that is desirable so that you can be the motivating force behind helping others to take action. You want to move people to take action because your content provides solutions to the questions and challenges they have, and you show that you not only know what you’re talking about, but you have the desire to help others. All of this can be read and heard in your voice.
And remember that your written content can reflect as much of your voice, your passion, and your personality as you allow it to. Your desire should be to have an impact on more people and change their lives. You can do this through the content you share on social media, your blog, your articles, and your videos.

Great one Yvonne. Something for people to look out for with their content is to ensure to keep that personality and passion in it’s delivery. Sometimes people leave that out in order to be “more professional” and often all it does is help them to be “more bland” 😉
That is so true, Una. Sharing content that’s devoid of one’s personality can only be terms as being bland. If we wanted mere facts and figures we could easily find it at sites that are designed for that purpose, but we also want to human perspective. Thank you.
Great read and definitely on point. I have expressed these same concepts with individuals I encountered and said they didn’t know what they wanted to do in life that they enjoyed and can earn income at the same time.

Thank you, Terri. Perhaps you’ve found too that, on the surface, sometimes the thing that someone enjoys doing may not appear to be something they can make money from. But on closer examination, it may be a small niche, but it can be monetized effectively. It’s a beautiful thing when passion and experience combine to increase income.
Great post Yvonne, it is so true unless you demonstrate passion and personality with your writing, people will not buy into you, regardless of how knowledgeable you seem
You say that so well, Mike. Thank you.
