About Yvonne A. Jones
“The right words, at the right time, in the right voice–that is how trust is built. That is what I do.”
Professionals in elder law and senior living communities carry tremendous responsibility. They guide families through some of the most emotionally layered decisions of their lives: decisions about money, care, independence, and legacy. Their expertise is deep. But communicating that expertise in a way that truly connects with families in transition? That is a different skill entirely.
That is where I come in.

I am Yvonne A. Jones, a Strategic Communication Specialist serving Elder Law attorneys and specialists, and directors and leaders in Independent and Assisted Living communities.
I transform professional expertise into clear, warm, trust-building communication, the kind that reaches families at the moment they need it most.
Why I Do This Work
My path to this work did not follow a straight line, and that is exactly what makes it meaningful.
I have spent more than five decades in professional environments on two continents. I’ve navigated corporate banking, administration, and human resources in Jamaica, and have served in roles as Office Manager, Executive Assistant, EDP Coordinator, and Customer Service Professional in the United States. I know what it means to work inside organizations where credentials matter, hierarchy is real, and earning professional trust requires more than good intentions.
I am also a writer — not casually, but by practice and record. I am one of only 40 Columnists for Biz Catalyst 360, a respected business publication. My articles have appeared on BabyBoomer.org and dozens of other websites, in addition to my own platforms. I have written hundreds of pieces across industries and audiences, which means I understand how to shape a message for the professional who needs to be taken seriously — and for the family member who simply needs to feel understood.
Later in my career, while working as a Certified Life and Business Coach, I added a dimension to my work that few communication specialists can claim: I trained and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with specialized Alzheimer’s training, providing direct care alongside elder law professionals, geriatric care professionals, social workers, and families in the most intimate and consequential conversations of their lives. I was not an observer from a distance. I sat beside patients. I watched how an older adult could be entirely present with the daughter who visited several times a week, yet show a very different face to the son who lived several states away, each convinced they fully understood the situation. I witnessed firsthand how the emotional terrain of aging shapes what families hear, what they fear, and what they need before they can take a step forward.
That experience did not make me an elder care clinician. It made me a more perceptive communicator. One who understands not just what professionals in this field know—but what families in transition are actually carrying when they arrive at your door.
More recently, I completed a Certificate of Professional Development in the Longevity Economy, deepening my understanding of the economic, social, and relational landscape of aging in America. This formal credential sits alongside decades of professional and lived experience, and positions me to speak your language while translating it into language that builds lasting trust.

The Foundation Behind the Work
My background spans more than 50 years of business experience, beginning at age 16. Over that time, I have worked in banking, administration, and human resources in Jamaica, and as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, and customer service professional in the United States, and built a 14-year skincare and image consultancy. I am a Certified Life & Business Coach and the host of The Purposeful and Profitable Podcast.
As a published author, I am the author of Superior Customer Service for Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs, and co-author of the #1 Amazon Bestseller Forty and Wiser: Remarkable Insider Secrets from Women 40 and Wiser. I am a proud member of the Professional Writers’ Alliance, which reflects my commitment to the craft and ethics of professional writing.

What I Offer
Through copywriting, content creation, and ghostwriting, I help Elder Law firms and senior living communities communicate in ways that build lasting trust—with the families they serve and in the communities where they practice.
For Elder Law Attorneys and Specialists
I write and develop website copy, client-facing educational content, email communications, newsletters, and articles that reflect your expertise while speaking directly to the emotional reality families bring through your door.
For Independent and Assisted Living Communities
I craft communication that honors the dignity of the individuals and families you serve—content that conveys warmth, clarity, and the lived experience of what it means to choose a community with care.
Longevity Trust Insights Newsletter
I publish the Longevity Trust Insights Newsletter on LinkedIn, a thought leadership resource for professionals in elder law and senior living. Each issue explores the human dimensions of aging, transition, and trust and demonstrates the quality of communication I bring to every client engagement.
My Philosophy
“Focus on Relationships; the Money Will Follow.”
Every piece of content I create is grounded in this belief. The families navigating elder law decisions or the transition to senior living are not looking for a transaction. They are looking for someone they can trust. My work helps you be that someone — in writing, before they ever walk through your door.
I bring my proprietary C.O.N.N.E.C.T. Framework to every client engagement, ensuring that communication is not only strategically sound but deeply human.
Also Supporting Mature Entrepreneurs and Professionals
Through my coaching practice at 50andwisercoaching.com, I continue to support entrepreneurs and professionals over 50 who are building or reimagining businesses with purpose. This work naturally complements my longevity economy focus. The audiences overlap more than most people realize.
From the Island to the World
I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica, where I developed a strong foundation in banking, administration, and the art of genuine hospitality. I migrated to the United States in 1989, carrying with me a deep belief in the power of relationships to create something lasting.
I am a proud wife, mother of three daughters with families of their own, and Nana to three pre-teens. My Christian faith guides the values I bring to every relationship — in life and in business.
