A Bit About Me
From the Island to the World
Born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica, I developed a strong foundation in Banking, Administration, and Human Resources.
After earning a Certificate in Human Resources (Training) from the Jamaica Institute of Management, I migrated to the United States in 1989. My journey has been enriched by diverse experiences, from excelling in customer service to nurturing entrepreneurial ventures.
Family and Community
I am a proud wife, mother of three wonderful daughters with families of their own, and Nana to my three pre-teens. I’m proud to be a Christian who strives to incorporate Godly values in my life and business.
My Professional Journey
Championing Customer Service
My first job in a commercial bank introduced me to the invaluable role of customer service and creating memorable moments in business success. This experience ignited my passion for advocating excellent customer service, a principle that continues to guide my coaching and business strategies today. It also set the foundation for building relationships rather than focusing on transactions.
Entrepreneurial Spirit
Since my 20s, I’ve embraced my entrepreneurial spirit, creating alliances with local farmers in Jamaica to supply hotels on the North Coast. Balancing corporate roles with entrepreneurial endeavors taught me resilience and the importance of passion in business.
Overcoming Adversity
In 1994, a life-threatening health crisis transformed my perspective on life and business. This experience underscored the importance of legacy, passive income, and business structure—principles I now integrate into my coaching to help clients build sustainable and resilient businesses. It also created an awareness of the need to practice self-care as a business owner, because you cannot give your best to your clients and customers if you do not feel your best.
Transitioning to Online Success
Embracing the digital age in 2008, I delved into online marketing, social media management, and local business consulting. Despite initial challenges, mentorship and continuous learning propelled me to excel in the online realm, allowing me to support businesses in building robust online presences.
